Toronto Tango Academy

Toronto Tango Academy is founded by Tugrul Avci, a tango enthusiast who has been teaching, DJ-ing, and organizing events in Istanbul and Toronto. His tango journey began in 2010, and his approach to dancing and teaching is inspired by great teachers, including, but not limited to, Alejandra Mantiñan, Sebastian Arce, Mariana Montes, Moira Castellano, Sebastian Achaval, Celia Berra, Roxana Suarez, Facundo Piñero & Vanesa Villalba, Silvina Valz, Ozhan Araz. Tugrul hopes to nurture and encourage tango excellence in the Toronto tango community through regular classes and special workshops by invited Maestros.
