The National Society of Intimacy Professionals

The National Society of Intimacy Professionals (NSIP) is a national resource hub and training organisation for Intimacy Professionals in Canada's performing arts industries.

We offer:

• an information hub for people working or interested in working in Canada's performance industries, including intimacy coordinators and directors, and other partner disciplines (directors, actors, etc.)
• a space where existing ICs and IDs working in the field can connect, network and support one another
• training and accreditation for new IDs and ICs
• intimacy-related education for partner disciplines (directors, actors, etc.)
• advocacy for the highest professional standards in performance spaces for intimacy and intimate content, both nationally and internationally

While NSIP is a relatively new not-for-profit organisation, its members have been working across nationally and internationally as Intimacy Professionals since before the role of Intimacy Director and/or Coordinator had become well-known in the industry. This group is passionate about elevating this craft through an artistic, professional, and inclusive lens.
