The Gem Museum
The Gem Museum is Singapore’s first comprehensive gems and minerals museum open to the public. Founded in 2015 by husband-and-wife team Loke Hui Ying and Tay Kunming, it continues the legacy of Kunming’s father, Mr Tay Thye Sun, a pioneer in gemmological education. The museum shares professional gemstone knowledge through education and hands-on discovery. Visitors explore gemstones and minerals from around the world while learning the Mine-to-Market-to-Memories journey. Understanding Value, Quality, and Authenticity through an interactive, family-friendly experience.
Hands-on activities include gem mining, UV glowing gems, and geode cracking.
