EDItEUR

EDItEUR is the international group coordinating development of the standards infrastructure for electronic commerce in the book, e-book and serials sectors.

It is a not-for-profit membership organisation based in London. EDItEUR provides its membership with standards and guidance in such diverse areas as: • bibliographic and product information for the book, e-book, digital audio and serials sectors • EDI and other e-commerce transaction standards • the standards infrastructure for digital publishing • rights management and trading

As an acknowledged leader in developing, supporting and promoting global standards for the exchange of bibliographic information and of e-commerce messages in the book and journal supply chains, it is best known for the ONIX, EDItX and Thema standards which it makes available free of charge for the benefit of the industry as a whole.
