Beyond Me Entertainment
Beyond Me Entertainment is a music collective and record label founded by Haitian-American artist Watson Tunez, inspired by the 2010 Haitian earthquake. Initially established with Anderson University students, their relief album, "Beyond Me: Haiti," successfully raised over $25,000 and contributed to rebuilding efforts in Haiti. This experience sparked the creation of the Live Beyond You Service Challenge. In 2015, they launched their non-profit arm, Beyond Me Initiative, to provide grants for local service projects. Beyond Me Entertainment is recognized as a pioneer in humanitarian hip-hop, blending it with R&B and pop to unite artists and fans in making a global and local impact. Their mission is to inspire empathy, community engagement, and direct action toward social causes through music, media, and creative expression. They operate on a "Three A's" framework: Advocating through impactful music and media; Addressing issues through partnerships and grants funded by corporate-matched album sales; and Alleviating suffering by developing sustainable solutions. They tackle pervasive human suffering by harnessing the power of music to create positive change, aiming to heal and restore communities affected by hardship. Beyond Me empowers individuals to use their creative abilities to address local issues such as homelessness, food insecurity, poverty, and mental health. By connecting audio, visual, and performing arts with humanitarianism, they promote positive change. Watson Tunez's 2021 solo album, "Long Way to Go," further solidified Beyond Me Entertainment's commitment to community-driven change through music.
