Berrin Bugay Lawler began her career working as a fashion designer for various international companies in Turkey and offered consultancy services in fashion, design, and visual aesthetics. Since 2007, she has focused on artistic and cultural projects in the UK. Between 2013 and 2016, she was the creative director for Cambridge Style Week, playing a key role in shaping the event’s international identity. During this time, she led a number of cross-disciplinary projects and organized cultural events that brought together diverse communities. In 2015, she curated The Ottoman Show – an exhibition of historical Turkish garments – under the support of the Republic of Turkey’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Turkish Consulate General in London. She has also worked as a costume designer at various productions for Arcola Alaturka in London. Today, she continues to build bridges between disciplines and cultures through art-based initiatives in the UK.
