Queensland Mine Rehabilitation Commissioner
The Office of the Queensland Mine Rehabilitation Commissioner understands that a collaborative multi-disciplinary approach is needed to ensure the best social, economic, environmental, and scientific, mine rehabilitation outcomes are achieved.
Our vision is leading Queensland to achieve leading practice in mined land rehabilitation. We do this through four key responsibilities:
- Connect - Engage with stakeholders and the community to raise awareness of mine rehabilitation matters.
- Research - Produce technical reports on the leading practice rehabilitation of land impacted by resource activities
- Advise - Provide advice to the Minister on mine rehabilitation practices, outcomes and policies
- Report - Report on mine rehabilitation performance and trends in Queensland
