Joanna's journey into the world of yoga began in 2016. Amid the chaotic hustle and bustle of her entertainment job and life in a bustling city, initially attracted to the physical benefits of yoga, she found that the daily one-hour yoga break was calm and motionless. But her love for yoga extended beyond the physicality - she was drawn to something more profound, more transformative. She quickly realized that yoga isn't just about building physical strength; it's a comprehensive tool for overall well-being.
In 2022, Joanna took her passion for yoga a step further by completing a 200-hour Yoga Alliance teacher training program in Thailand. Here, she delved deeper into the spiritual aspects of yoga and discovered the power of meditation.
In 2023, during her pregnancy journey, Joanna experienced firsthand the transformative power of meditation. Through each stage of pregnancy, meditation became her anchor—helping her stay calm, grounded, and deeply connected with her body and baby. It supported her through childbirth and the transition into motherhood, cultivating a sense of peace and resilience amid change. This profound experience strengthened her belief in the importance of mindfulness, motivating her to emphasize meditation and mindful awareness in all her classes.
Joanna's exploration didn't stop there, she immersed herself in the study of the Himalayan Singing Bowl, harnessing the power of music to facilitate mindfulness and present moment awareness. She also delved into Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), a psychological approach aimed at helping individuals manage stress, control emotions, and foster positive thinking.
Joanna now shares her extensive knowledge and experiences as a teacher of Mindfulness Yoga & Meditation, conducting her classes in both English and Cantonese.
