Access and download your 1099-K

Eventbrite is required to provide an IRS Form 1099-K each year to all U.S. organizers who have met specific sales thresholds in the calendar year, per US tax law. Even if you don't meet the sales thresholds, a 1099-K will still be made available to you for your records. You can download your 1099-K forms from 2020 onward in your account’s Finance workspace. Eventbrite is unable to offer tax advice. If you have questions about how to report the transactions listed in your 1099-K in your yearly tax filing, consult a tax professional.

Understanding your 1099-K

The Form 1099-K  summarizes the sales activity of your organization for a calendar year. It’s designed to assist you in reporting your taxes.

Eventbrite is required by the IRS to report the gross amount of sales. This means the amount shown on your form is the total dollar amount of payment transactions, without any adjustments for credits, cash equivalents, discounts, fees, refunds, or any other amounts.

Sales are reported by calendar year and are based on the date of sale, not the payout date. All sales during the calendar year that met the IRS and/or state thresholds are reported, whether a payout has been received or not.

When to expect a 1099-K from Eventbrite

If you met a filing threshold, Eventbrite submitted the 1099-K to the IRS and/or state on your behalf. Eventbrite also provides you with a copy of your 1099-K to assist with your records and reporting.

If you did not meet a threshold, Eventbrite didn't submit a 1099-K form to either the IRS or state. However, if you submitted taxpayer information, you may still download a copy of your 1099-K to assist with your records and reporting.

If you didn't submit taxpayer information, you must contact us to receive a copy of your 1099-K for the previous year.
