Permissions Glossary
Use this resource to help you decide which permissions to give your team members when adding roles and permissions to your organization.
Event creation
Edit event details | Make changes to event details, such as the event description, order form, and privacy settings. |
Manage event status | Allows team members to publish, cancel, postpone and unpublish events. |
Create events with card on file only | Gives team members the ability to create new events using the credit card on file |
Manage card | Add or edit the credit card in Organization Settings. |
Manage subscription | Start a new subscription or upgrade an existing subscription. |
Edit seat maps | Create and edit seat maps and seat labels. |
Manage tickets | Edit and manage ticket and add-on settings, such as ticket visibility or the option to absorb fees. |
View ticket holds | View ticket holds for reserved seating or general admission sections (non-reserved seating events). |
Manage ticket holds | Create, remove, and assign ticket holds. |
Manage collections | Create and edit event collections in your organization. |
Venue creation
Edit venues | Edit the venue information for your event. |
Marketing
Manage campaigns | Create, manage, and send marketing email campaigns. |
Manage contacts | Create, manage, and delete contacts and subscriber lists. |
Manage tracking pixels | Add and manage tracking pixels for events in your organization. |
Tracking links | Create and manage tracking links with unique URLs. NOTE: Your team member must have “View aggregate financial data” permissions enabled for tracking links to be available. |
Sell on Facebook | The user can create and publish new Facebook events, and add ticketing to existing Facebook events. NOTE: Your team member must have 'Create events' or 'Edit event details' permissions as well in order to publish to Facebook. |
Create discount codes | Create, edit, and manage promotion codes for tickets and registrations. |
Orders and attendees
Add attendees | Add attendees to an event manually. |
Manage orders, refunds, transfers and attendees | Edit order info and process refunds or transfers. |
Manage waitlist | Enable or disable an event waitlist, manage settings, and release tickets to attendees on the waitlist. |
View list of attendees | Download PDF list of attendees online and view through the Organizer App. |
Check-in attendees | Check in attendee tickets online or by using the Eventbrite Organizer app on your mobile device, either manually or by scanning tickets. |
Create attendee name badges | Create and export name badges for attendees within an event. |
Resend order confirmation | Resend order confirmation emails to attendees. |
Override ticket restrictions | Override the maximum quantity or capacity of tickets allowed when selling through the Eventbrite Organizer app. |
Sell tickets at the door | Sell tickets at the door using the Eventbrite Organizer app. |
Email attendees | Create, edit, delete, and send emails to attendees of a specific event. |
Reporting
Basic reports | Allows team members access to: Attendee summary, Custom questions responses, Traffic and conversion, Attendance, Transfers, Holds summary, and Saved reports |
Advanced reports | Allows team members access to: Sales summary, Audit, Sales by ticket type, Box office summary, Analytics, Orders, Ticket counts, and Scheduled reports. This permission also grants access to all basic reports. |
Payouts and billing
View payment options | View your event's payout method and payment processor as well as the refund policy and tax settings. |
View organization financial balances | View reserve amounts for your organization. You can also see changes in your payouts due to charges, credits, or invoices. |
Manage payments and payouts | Choose a payment processor and add payout methods. Manage event tax settings and refund policy as well. NOTE: If your account is on a Pro plan, this permission is required for a team member to publish an event with more than 25 tickets. |
View payout summary | View and export payout summaries for payouts across all events in your organization. If your team member only has access to specific events, they will only be able to view payouts for those events. |
View and manage invoices | View and pay invoices charged to your organization by Eventbrite. |
View charges and credits | View any charges or credits applied to an event or your organization. |
View aggregate financial data | The user can view and export all event reports and analytics. |
Organization
Manage artists (Eventbrite Music only) | View and manage artists within Eventbrite Music. |
Manage organization team members and permissions | Add, edit, and delete roles and permissions within your organization. |
Edit organization information | View and manage organization information and organizer profiles. |
Create webhooks | Add, edit, manage, and delete organization webhooks & user API Keys. |
Emails team members can receive
Order confirmation emails | Email sent to attendees after they successfully order tickets to an event. |
Monthly invoice emails | Emails sent to the event organizer when a balance is owed to Eventbrite. |
Contact the Organizer emails | Emails sent to the event organizer from attendees. |
Refund request emails | Emails sent to the event organizer when an attendee submits a refund request to their event. |
