Before you start

  • Mailchimp will only sync attendees who agree to marketing during checkout.

  • Past attendees won't be included in your Mailchimp sync. View the "Purchasers" subscriber list to get a CSV file of your current subscribers that you can import to Mailchimp.

  • Only admins and account owners can use the Mailchimp integration.

  • You must have an existing Mailchimp account and at least one list.

Connect your Mailchimp account

1. Go to Marketing Tools.

Log in to your Eventbrite account and go to Marketing Tools .

2. Select "Settings."

3. Under "Mailchimp," select "Connect New Account."

4. Log in with your Mailchimp account.

5. Select your Mailchimp list.

Choose a list from your Mailchimp account.

6. Select "Done."

After your account is connected, future attendees will begin syncing to your Mailchimp list.

7. (Optional) Modify your sync settings.

If you'd like to select a different list:

  1. Select Manage.

  2. Select your desired list from the dropdown.

  3. Select Done.

This won’t remove any information already sent to Mailchimp.

Use Mailchimp to view your data and create emails

It can take 5-10 minutes for new contacts to show in Mailchimp. You can view contacts from Eventbrite from your Mailchimp account.

After you confirm the sync is successful, you can visit Mailchimp’s support center  for more information. To see how Eventbrite maps data to Mailchimp, view the Mailchimp documentation .

For more information about sharing your data with an Eventbrite partner, check out Eventbrite's data processing addendum.

Remove the Mailchimp integration

If you no longer want to sync your attendees to Mailchimp:

  1. Go to Marketing Tools .

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Under Mailchimp, select Disconnect.

  4. To confirm, select Disconnect in the modal window.

After you disconnect the app on Eventbrite, remove it from your Mailchimp account.

Only remove the integration if you no longer want to use Mailchimp with Eventbrite. Removing the integration can cause issues with syncing if you add it again.
