About this event
What is good sleep?
Do you sometimes wake up in the middle of the night?
Do you want to learn how the brain works when we sleep?
Do you want to know how this is related to what scientifically is considered to be "good sleep”?
… yes? Then join Assistant Professor Celia Kjærby at Station on Wednesday April 27th when she gives an exclusive research talk about what is considered to be good sleep.
About Celia and her research:
Celia Kjærby works as an Assistant Professor at the University of Copenhagen’s Center for Translational Neuromedicine. We usually perceive good sleep as continuous and undisturbed, but short awakenings are actually an integral part of natural sleep - even if we do not understand why.
Celia studies the function of these short awakenings and whether they are good or bad for sleep in particular how they affect the brain’s ability to store memories while we sleep.
She is so kind to share her insights with us in a 30 min presentation followed by a Q&A session!
