TRANS AND NON-BINARY BODY TRAINING

Facilitated by Beck Heiberg

At Dansekapellet, Studio 3

Bispebjerg Torv 1, 2400 København

On Tuesdays the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th of March 2023.

17.00-19.00

Cost: Free

A free, separatist body training for trans and non-binary people, with a focus on the body, dance, and movement.

In Body Training, we will work with physicality from different dance dogmas, such as heaviness and lightness, softness and strength, sensuality, and gesticulations. All these aspects will be the means to get a closer connection to one’s own body while taking advantage of having 1,5 hours where it is safe and exciting to move around.

We will not work with choreography or specific types of dances. Instead, you will experience a guided workshop that, based on our own movement patterns, wants to give you a larger vocabulary for dance and physicality.

There is room for 15 people in each session:12 spots can be booked online ahead of the sessions, and 3 free spots on the day at a first come, first serve principle.

There is no requirement to be able to participate in all sessions – you can participate in however many you wish for. If that means all dates or just one session, is completely up to you.

Access:

Dansekapellet is accessible to anyone. There are disabled parking facilities 30 metres from the entrance, and the entrance is level-free. The venue has accessible toilets and is smooth to enter from the streets. Public transport (bus lines 4A and 6A) is located very close to the venue.

As always, Warehouse9 strives toward securing safer spaces for our community, and this workshop will fold out in secure surroundings.

The workshop will take place on Tuesdays, the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th of March 2022, at 17.00-19.00.
