Welcome to the opening of Tiny Church!
Tiny Church is a wooden church of less than 75 square meters. It is the first church in Nordhavn – and the first of its kind in Denmark! It will host church services and many other activities, welcoming both local and international visitors.
The opening day programme features family activities and a bonfire, an opening ceremony and church service, a reception with speeches, choir performances, communal eating (see registration link below), and live music. Speeches will be in Danish, but internationals are most welcome!
On behalf of the Parochial Church Council of Hans Egede Parish, you are invited to the opening of Tiny Church!
Remember to dress warmly for outdoor conditions.
OPENING DAY PROGRAMME
12 pm
Opening of the square at Tiny Church in collaboration with KULTURDISTRIKTET.
Children and family activities, workshops and children's theater.
Bonfire with the scouts from Hans Egede Church.
3 pm
Opening ceremony and church service.
Led by Bishop of the Diocese of Copenhagen Peter Skov-Jakobsen, Dean of Holmen and Østerbro Deanery Birgitte Kvist Poulsen and the parish's two Pastors Louise Sihm Knudsen and Christian Bro, accompanied by Faroese Pastor Borgny Brünings-Hansen.
4 pm
Reception and speeches.
5 pm
Choir performances by Hans Egede Church's local choir TOURDION and the new international choir from Eliaskirken.
6 pm
