About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Join us for an interactive and collaborative session at The Turing Table, where we’ll dive into the basics of prompt engineering. This event builds on our tradition of intimate community gatherings, fostering meaningful discussions and shared learning experiences. Whether you’re a beginner curious about how AI works in practice or an expert looking to refine and share your skills, this session is designed to bring people together to learn, practice, and grow.

Bring your laptop and prepare to explore prompt engineering hands-on. Together, we’ll uncover how prompts can shape AI interactions and discover innovative ways to apply them.

Schedule:

  • 6:00 PM - 6:20 PM: Welcome & Introductions Meet other participants in a casual setting. Share your background and experience with AI. Welcome to an evening of collaborative learning.
  • 6:20 PM - 6:50 PM: Prompt Engineering Basics & Task Overview Learn the fundamentals of creating effective prompts with examples and best practices. We’ll also introduce a hands-on optional task for the session.
  • 6:50 PM - 7:20 PM: Hands-On Practice Work individually or in small groups to experiment with prompts and complete a optional task using your laptop. We will provide guidance as needed, encouraging discussion and idea exchange.
  • 7:20 PM - 7:30 PM: Share Your Outcome Wrap up by sharing your results, insights, or creative solutions. Reflect on what you’ve learned and discuss applications moving forward.

This workshop is for anyone eager to connect with a community of curious minds while gaining practical skills in prompt engineering. Let’s learn from each other, experiment together, and shape new ideas!

We are looking forward to seeing you all,

Anni & Seb
