Villani's music making is celebrated for his emotional intensity, freewheeling spontaniety and extremely wide dynamic range. His phenomenal ability to draw in the listener with a variety of timbres creates a vast yet intimate landscape of narrative storytelling. This is piano playing born of a bygone age!

The program includes several Grieg Lyric Pieces (masterpieces in miniature), works by Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Debussy's incandescant : 'L'Isle Joyeuse' and Liszt's tragic yet life-affirming 'Valleé D'Obermann in Villani's own unique arrangement .
