State of the Megaregion Day

STRING's annual State of the Megaregion Day will focus on how infrastructure and regional cooperation are becoming vital pillars of both European defence resilience and cross-border integration in an increasingly fragmented geopolitical landscape. The recent NATO 5% pledge have elevated the strategic importance of railways, tunnels, ports and transport corridors across Europe, reinforcing the role of cross-regional alliances such as STRING.

The State of the Megaregion Day will bring together policymakers, infrastructure experts, defense planners, and regional leaders to explore how infrastructure can serve a dual strategic role, as both critical defense assets and driver of cross-border coherence.
