About this event
Trifork, Engine by Starling, and Mambu would like to invite you to a roundtable to showcase real customer cases and different approaches to modern core banking. Join the dialogue on what is possible, how to address regulatory and operational challenges, and why now is the time to act. Banking as a Service (BaaS) or digital core banking platforms enable financial and non-financial businesses to provide financial services and experiences to its customers through a modern, cloud-native infrastructure. Whether you're a bank, a retailer, telco, supermarket or energy provider, BaaS helps you transform loyalty programs and customer touchpoints into revenue-generating financial services.
Get insights from three different cases:
- A Scandinavian supermarket chain with over 2.3 million members, is modernising its deposit management using Mambu’s cloud‑native core platform. The new system ensures scalable, secure, transparent handling of member accounts.
- Trifork built a flexible, API-driven card and financing platform for Sparxpres (Spar Nord), supporting over 1.4 million transactions across 6,500 outlets in Denmark and integrating loans, payments, gift and prepaid cards into a country-adapted, cloud-native infrastructure.
- In under 12 months, Salt Bank launched Romania’s first fully digital, mobile-first bank using Engine’s core banking platform. Thanks to its rich customer proposition and efficient operations, by early 2025, it had already onboarded 500,000 customers, 4% of the country's banking population. The bank has been built to be highly extensible and scalable, launching new features and offerings for customers at pace.
Legacy systems are holding financial institutions back, slowing innovation, compliance, and customer experience. At the same time, retailers, mobility providers, and SaaS companies are seizing opportunities in embedded finance and creating new revenue streams without traditional barriers.
Cloud native core banking is reshaping the industry. It allows banks to modernize without a complete overhaul and enables non-financials to launch financial products quickly through APIs. For incumbents it means efficiency. For challengers it means growth. For all it means staying relevant.
