Intro to the Topic: Quantum computing represents a disruptive force with the potential to compromise the cryptographic underpinnings of modern financial security. Existing public-key infrastructure (PKI) schemes are particularly vulnerable, necessitating urgent transitions toward quantum-resistant protocols. As financial institutions increasingly rely on digital authentication and encryption systems, the stakes of quantum resilience are both operational and existential.
This session will explore the algorithmic, infrastructural, and regulatory considerations essential to securing financial ecosystems in a post-quantum future. Discussions will cover the global standardization of post-quantum cryptographic (PQC) solutions, the feasibility of hybrid transitional architectures, and cross-sector coordination in updating digital trust frameworks. Attendees will examine both the strategic urgency and implementation pathways for quantum-ready resilience.
Who Should Join: Chief Information Security Officers, Cryptography Researchers, Risk Governance Executives, Legal Technologists, Regulatory Cybersecurity Directors, and Quantum Informatics Scholars.
Engagement Protocol: Join a confidential and technically sophisticated dialogue moderated by an expert in quantum security. Conducted under Chatham House rules to ensure an open, security-conscious exchange.
When: Nordic Fintech Week
