About this event

Business • Environment & Sustainability

This is a two-part event series, but each event is designed as a standalone session. Attendees can gain significant value from either event, though attending both will provide a more holistic understanding of the circular ecosystem.

Event 1: The Emergence of Circular Partnerships & Industrial Symbiosis

Date: Wednesday, October 1

Focus: Systems-Level Change. This event zooms out to look at the macro-level connections between different actors and sectors. We will explore how waste from one industry can become a resource for another, creating a symbiotic network that reduces overall environmental impact and generates new value streams.

● Key Topics & Questions:

○ What are the successful models of cross-sectoral partnerships in Denmark?

○ How can companies identify and establish symbiotic relationships with other businesses?

○ What is the role of policy, municipalities, and industrial parks in enabling these ecosystems?

○ Case studies on material exchange networks and shared resource platforms.

Event 2: Buildings and Circular Business Models

Date: Wednesday, October 22

Focus: Project & Enterprise-Level Change. This event zooms in to focus on the building sector: one of the largest consumers of resources and producers of waste. We will explore how circularity can be designed into structures and, crucially, how companies can create sustainable business models around it.

● Key Topics & Questions:

○ Designing for disassembly: How to create buildings that are material banks for the future.

○ Circular material passports and digital tracking.

○ New business models: Product-as-a-Service (PaaS), leasing materials, and performance-based contracts.

○ The financial and regulatory drivers making circular buildings a smart investment.

○ Real-world examples of circular construction projects in Denmark.

Make sure to sign up for the event(s) you can attend. During the sign up you choose 1 or 22 October. If you can attend both, please sign up twice.
