Vinyasa yoga series focused on all you need to keep your body and mind healthy and focused for surf!

About this event

In this summer yoga series, we use yoga asana practice to prepare and tone the body for surfing. Each class is 90 minutes long and will have a specific focus: hip flexibility, shoulder stability, balance, core strength. Throughout, we will move with the breath and be in the moment - just like when you are riding the waves.

While each practice will build on one before, you can book individually and take as such.

July 24 and August 28, 2022: Build the core!

Anterior and side core strength and flexibility. Learn to use your core wisely, and with the breath.

July 31 and September 4, 2022: Flex those hips!

Hip strength and flexibility. We’ll work all 5 compartments of the hips and make them do their own work.

August 7 and September 11, 2022: Shoulder it all!

Shoulder-strength where we need it. Build awareness about how to safely engage, and what might not make the shoulders so happy.

[Note: no class on Sunday August 14!]

August 21 and September 18, 2022: Balance across the board!

Balance is about a lot of things: breathing, awareness, timing, and ankle and knee strength. We will work on all of it.

All classes are online, last 90 minutes, and start at 9am EDT (13H00 UTC) .
