Quantum Computing in Finance - Quantum as a Component, not a Replacement
Join and get a clear and realistic understanding of where quantum stands today and what it could mean for financial organisations.
Quantum computing is beginning to shape conversations in the financial sector as institutions explore new ways to solve complex optimization and simulation challenges. Although the technology is still at an early stage, interest is growing as quantum capabilities advance and early use cases emerge across risk, portfolio construction and advanced modeling.
This event brings together Copenhagen Fintech, University of Copenhagen, the KU Quantum Hub and Copenhagen Quantum to provide a clear and realistic understanding of where quantum stands today and what it could mean for financial organisations. We open with perspectives from KU Quantum Hub on the state of the field and continue with insights from Copenhagen Quantum on why quantum computers matter for finance and how the industry is approaching early experimentation.
Throughout the session we invite the room into plenary discussions to reflect on potential impact areas, organisational readiness and the first practical steps toward working with quantum technologies. We conclude with concrete examples of what leading banks are doing today and how quantum can be understood as a component in the wider technology landscape rather than a replacement.
