About this event

The BC Ministry of Agriculture and Food is presenting this On-Farm Composting Field Day in the North Okanagan region. Join knowledgeable experts at Rosebank Farms in Armstrong to learn practical hands-on information on topics such as:

  • How to properly site and construct a compost pile,
  • How to use compost as a replacement for synthetic fertilizer,
  • The benefits of compost for soil health and fertility,
  • How to determine application rates, timing, and method when using compost,
  • Information on soil testing and how to interpret soil test results,
  • Regulatory considerations of on-farm composting.

Snacks will be provided after the session.

Space will be limited to the first 20 registrants.
