The metaverse, in a nutshell, is our digital world, a world that can connect us at any time with anyone from anywhere. At some point it'll be just the internet, though what will that look like and how will it feel? Once you experience the blending of digital items into the physical world, or popping into fully immersive 3D environments whenever we want, you'll have an idea. Is this all just a sci-fi fantasy or is it actually our future?

Let's discuss and learn more during our first RHoK online event! The purpose of this event is to introduce Random Hacks of Kindness Copenhagen and to have a chat with Marcus Purvis about the Metaverse 👾💻

So who is Marcus Purvis? He works for Unity Technologies in Copenhagen and is a Microsoft/Xbox veteran. Marcus is not shy of diving deep into new emerging areas or writing open letters of self-reflections and letters to young developers. On a continuous basis Marcus shares wisdom, learnings and brain teasers on LinkedIn and with colleagues. We are very proud to have him join us for our very first online event.

What is Random Hacks of Kindness Copenhagen (RHoK CPH)?

Random Hacks of Kindness Copenhagen (RHoK CPH) is a newly established chapter of a global community of technologists dedicated to solving problems for charities, nonprofits, and social impact organizations. Random Hacks of Kindness has organized recurring Hackathons that have existed since 2009. We’re in the process of building the community in Copenhagen and are hosting the first hackathon in March 2022. Leading up to the weekend-long hackathon we will be hosting social meet and greet events.
