About this event

Babysalmesang (in English: baby-hymn-singing) is a hugely popular musical activity for babies and new parents in Denmark, with classes taking place once a month (on select Saturday mornings) at Eliaskirken in Vesterbro. It is an opportunity for you and your baby to:

- Enjoy music, movement and rhythm together

- Share a playful and stimulating experience

- Learn songs and hymns in the beautiful church space

- Meet other local parents and babies

This class is an introduction to the practice of Babysalmesang and will take place in English, using English songs and hymns that everyone can join in with. Don’t worry if you are not the most confident singer – your voice will always be your baby’s favourite!

After the class there will be coffee and the chance to chat, ask questions, and find out about regular Babysalmesang classes in your local church.

The class is FREE but places are limited, so booking is required. Just book one ticket per child.

Babysalmesang in English is suitable for babies up to 12 months.(If your child is older than 12 months, please check out our Toddler Music Time events.)

Please bring a blanket or mat for your baby to lie on.
