Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) is all about leveraging the full talent base. To truly harness the potential of every individual.
Our session will explore the expansive themes of DE&I, emphasizing that these concepts extend far beyond gender, age, ethnicity, religion and sexual orientation. Together we will challenge ourselves to think about how we can design workplaces that are inclusive of all body sizes.
For many individuals with obesity, certain professions can be challenging to pursue due to physical constraints and the pervasive stigma surrounding body size. This stigma not only affects their professional opportunities but also their overall well-being.
In this session, we will discuss the importance of creating an environment that attracts and supports individuals of all body sizes. We will explore the barriers faced by people with obesity and consider innovative solutions to make our workplaces more inclusive. The goal is to help our member organisations to foster a culture where everyone, regardless of body size, feels valued and empowered to contribute their best work.
To start the event we have invited Anne Fleischer, VP Consumer Engagement & New Business Models in Novo Nordisk, to give an overall presentation of the prevalence of obesity and how this is expected to increase in the years to come. Anne will be sharing some insights on the challenges people with obesity experience in their everyday lives, which may help guide the work of creating a more inclusive workplace.
After the presentation we will open up the discussion with a panel of HR executives, where perspectives, learnings and considerations on the topic will be shared.
We look forward to seeing you all, to addressing the challenges head-on and continuing to pave the way for a more inclusive future.
