This year it's the 30 year anniversary of the Global Ecovillage Network, or in short #gen30.

I år er det 30-års jubilæum for Global Ecovillage Network, eller forkortet #gen30.

You are hereby invited to participate in a very special event at Duemosegaard, "the farm where ideas are grown" in Denmark.

On October 18 this year, it will be exactly 30 years since Ross Jackson helped with the founding of the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) at Findhorn in 1995. GEN is working to have October 18 approved by the UN as “Global Ecovillage Day”, hopefully with support from the Danish government. So let's show them how well we've been thriving by spreading our wings and showing the world our colours! The celebrations have already begun in Hungary this August, when over 600 eco-community participants at the GEN Gathering 2025. We've just launched a kaleidoscope of colourful butterfly inspired artworks in "The Butterfly Effect" exhibition - and now we are ready to party!

On the 18th of October we'll be offering:

• "Axis Mundi Experience" performed by Jacob and Ecaterina Moth - providing a vivid musical journey of transformation.
• An art exhibition with the theme “The Butterfly Effect” with contributions from 14 Danish and international artists and designers.
• Ross’ story about the “divine” butterfly that visited GEN’s foundation on October 18, 1995.
• Champagne and cake.
