What is this session about?
The Domain Name System (DNS) is one of the most fundamental protocols in the network infrastructure and it is frequently abused for malicious purposes. In this training session, we will explore the major exploitation of DNS protocol and infrastructure and we explore tools and scripts to implement such exploitations.
Teacher: Marios Anagnostoppulos
(Notice: this session will be in english)
What does it require to participate?
The participants are required to have a basic knowledge of network protocols (e.g., OSI model, TCP vs UDP, application layer) and of the basic security concepts (e.g., CIA triad, DDoS attacks).
Do I need to install something on beforehand?
During the training session, we will use the BIND’s dig (domain information groper) tool (default in Linux), nslookup (default in Linux and Windows), and the scapy library. So, it would be helpful to install beforehand dig, python 3 and the scapy library (https://scapy.readthedocs.io/en/latest/installation.html)
