Danish-Israeli Launch Pad for Life Science and Healthtech Startups

The Danish-Israeli launch pad for life science and healthtech startups focuses on enhancing companies’ ability to develop sustainable, scalable, and demand-driven healthcare solutions with global market potential. The launch pad connects startups with hospitals, corporates, investors and other relevant stakeholders in Denmark and Israel in order to provide access to international knowledge, co-development opportunities, clinical implementation validation, data and funding. The launch pad also provides training and mentoring in international validation, scaling and market entrance. As strong research and innovation nations, Denmark and Israel are perfect testing grounds for startup companies with global ambitions.

The program is an exclusive six-month program consisting of a one-day workshop in Denmark and a three-day workshop in Israel and an online workshop as well as 1:1 meetings with experts.

Activities of the Launch Pad Program:

26 September 2024, Copenhagen

Workshop for Danish Start-ups: A combination of inspirational learnings and hands-on workshops on scoping the business plan with focus on the internationalisation strategy, market strategy and fundraising strategy and identifying the main challenges of each company.

Aug-Oct 2024, Online

1:1 sparring meetings: Prior to the market visit to Israel, we will conduct a 1:1 sparring with each company to set the success criteria for each company individually, using their business plan and internationalisation strategy (if there is a such) as a compass when designing the content of the following workshops and the market visit. Doing so, we will make sure to cater for each companies’ needs and interests. The participants will leave with an action plan for the market visit.

10-14 November 2024, Israel

One-week visit in Israel: Based on the identified success criteria of the companies, the visit will be a mixture of B2B meetings to explore opportunities of clinical validation or co-development, presentations by local experts, roundtable discussions with different parts of the ecosystem, site visits, hands-on workshops and a pitching event.

13 December 2024, Online

Workshop for Danish Start-ups: A follow-up on the workshops and meetings in Israel. We will focus on how to implement the tools and partnerships identified in Israel and define next steps.

Price for participation: DKK 8,400 plus flight and hotel.

Should it not be possible to travel to Israel in November, the second workshop will take place in Denmark with participation of Israeli experts and hospitals.
