Event description
Music Confucius Institute (MCI) at the Royal Academy of Music in Denmark invites you to Chinese Timbres concert.

About this Event

// We are sold out, but write an email to mci@dkdm.dk to get on the hold list //

As we have done the past few years, MCI will be holding Chinese Timbres – a concert in November with the aim to bring music cultures together. This year’s program shines a spotlight on the voice. It is with our voices that we express our feelings, engage in dialogue, and communicate with each other and the world.

In the past year, we have had an exciting collaboration with the Danish singer- songwriter Randi Laubek, and the results of this collaboration can be heard at this concert. The concert will also feature world premieres of four songs by Chinese composers exploring the theme of H. C. Andersen and his fairytales. Additionally, a new ensemble formed by RDAM Associate Professor Jesper Sivebæk will have its debut at this concert.

The concert is free, but you have to reserve tickets in eventbrite to ensure your seats.

In order to ensure the safety of all guests and performers, we will strictly follow the requirements as set forth by the Danish health authorities, and to avoid large crowds forming, please plan to arrive well in advance of the concert. Doors open as early as 18:45.
