Siteimprove, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, The Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) and The American Chamber of Commerce in Denmark, invite you to attend an exclusive event ‘Benchmarking Digital Inclusion to Drive a Better Digital World’ on May 14th 2019 at the IDA Conference Building.

Over a billion people, approximately 15% of the world’s population, have some form of a disability that makes accessing the web difficult – especially when it’s not designed to be accessible! Inaccessible websites can make every day simple tasks like booking a flight, changing addresses and booking a doctor’s appointment near impossible as users can’t navigate and fill out forms as intended.

Despite the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), adopted in 2006, which aims to “promote, protect and ensure the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by all persons with disabilities, and to promote respect for their inherent dignity” there is still a lot of work to be done before this can be achieved.

In support of the convention, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals overarching theme of 'Leaving no one behind' this event will be a unique opportunity to see world-first project 'Accessibility World Map' before it goes live. This project finally answers the question of which country has the most accessible websites in the world, and which industries are the most accessible.

Complementing the official unveiling is the chance to hear from some of the world’s most respected voices in digitalization and digital inclusion including special guest speaker Mr. Casper Klynge, the world's first ever Tech Ambassador.

Participants will also have the exciting opportunity to hear from some of the world’s largest technology companies including Salesforce, on how they are working to make accessibility a mainstream topic.
