A history of queerness through diva worship
South Asian and Western perspectives through film and music
As we approach Pride and South Asian Heritage Month, we invite you to dive into the vibrant history and media portrayal of LGBT communities across the US/Europe and South Asia. Explore queer representation through Pop Divas and Bollywood Icons and learn how these regions have navigated queer representation, highlighting significant events, cultural shifts, and influential figures. D&I facilitators, Charlie and Safiya, will take us on a tour of popular film and music and what we can learn about the LGBTQ+ community.
📅 Date: Thursday, 6 June
