PlatoScience

Home-use TES: a promising solution for TMS maintenance therapy - Professor Dr Alexander Sack in conversation with Dr Theodoros Koutsomitros

Welcome to the June edition of the PlatoScience Seminar
This time we are discussing how at-home TES devices, such as the PlatoWork tDCS headset, can serve as an effective maintenance tool to complement TMS treatment. Based on recent studies, TES proposes an effective and low-cost way to help your patients maintain mental health and prevent relapse after their in-clinic treatment terminates. To enlighten us on the potential of maintenance therapy, we are delighted to present two experts in the field: PlatoScience's own Chief Scientific Advisor, Professor Dr Alexander Sack, in conversation with Dr Theodoros Koutsomitros. Dr Koutsomitros is a psychiatrist specialising in repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) and is also applying TES with PlatoWork in his clinic. Together with the participants, we will discuss how to successfully integrate TES in various treatment programmes and our guest speakers will share the details of a recently conducted clinical study with PlatoWork showing promising results in depression treatment. As always, the seminar is an opportunity for you to share experiences from your clinic, ask questions to the PlatoScience team and strengthen your professional network of clinicians working with neuromodulation in the private healthcare sector. We look forward to seeing you there!More information about TES for TMS maintenance
