Built in 1928 with the help of Albert Kahn, the "Architect of Detroit" and one of the most influential architects of the 20th century, the Packard Proving Grounds w a premier testing facility for the Packard Motor Car Company.The Packard Proving Grounds Historic Site stands as a tribute to automotive innovation and history. Preserved and operated by the non-profit Packard Motor Car Foundation, this landmark offers visitors a glimpse into the golden age of American engineering through historical tours, classic car shows, and educational programs.Today, this 17-acre site is a vibrant destination for automotive enthusiasts, history lovers, and the community.
