Organizer of Community Area Planning Workshops
The Charlotte Planning, Design, & Development Department, a professional staff, and Planning Commission, a planning advisory body, was formed by an Interlocal Agreement between the City and County in 1954.  Authority extends to the City of Charlotte and unincorporated portions of Mecklenburg County.
