We're Darren and Gloria Hagood, a couple who have been in ministry for over a decade. We both have degrees in Biblical Text and we both have Masters of Divinity. During our time in traditional church ministry as well as from our personal experience with church we noticed that churches often struggled to provide healing, transformative, and spiritual connection for people (especially for people of color).That's where HYL. comes in - HealYourLovePeriod is all about loving The Divine, loving ourselves, and loving others. We're not here to judge or control others. We're not here to get you to commit to a doctrine or denomination. We are not here to spend time or energy on excluding others or figuring out who is saved or not. We are focused on healing our own love, plain and simple.So, we decided to mix things up. Darren added breathwork coaching to his ministry training, helping our participants reconnect with themselves and God through breath-praying.Meanwhile, Gloria trained to become a board-certified chaplain, providing spiritual and emotional support to those in times of crisis and transition. She eventually went on to discover the power of sound and became a certified sound healer, using sound to support emotional and spiritual wellness.Now, HYL. combines ministry experience, breathwork, sound healing, and support groups to create a dynamic spiritual experience for those who are spiritual and searching for community.
